Christian Celis began taking piano lessons at the age of 5. He was classically trained until he reached high school, which is when he got a taste of Jazz. This is when he decided to switch focus and start taking Jazz piano lessons from local music teacher Daryl Howard and studied under Dr. Joe Gilman at Sacramento State University. He has been teaching piano at Natomas Music Square since 2016. He enjoys teaching theory, and getting students into jazz piano.
