Kids Art Class

Our kid’s art classes are for children ages 5–15.
Natomas Music Square has developed a fantastic year-round art program perfect for little artists! In class, students learn about real artists and art forms from around the world.


The instructor uses step-by-step teaching methods to help them incorporate their own individuality and character and produce great pieces of art that you’re certain to love.

Mini Piano Lab for Ages 5 - 6

(Not Piano Class)

Are you looking for a great learning and development activity for your child? Does your child show an interest in learning piano and music? Natomas Music Square has just the music program for you!


Mini Piano Lab, a year group piano class for ages 5 - 6. You, student, will focus on the basics of learning to play the piano and music theory by incorporating fun games, puzzles, and songs. Our goal with this engaging music program is to get children excited about learning music all within a supportive environment led by our experienced and encouraging music instructors.

Tuition: $130 per month

Flexibility:

  • Make-Up Policy: Make-up lessons are not guaranteed. However, if space is available in another group class during the same week, we are happy to accommodate the student.

POP & ROCK Ensemble

The Pop/Rock Ensemble is a fun and educational way for students to learn songs. It’s one thing to play your instrument solo but playing in a band could be the thing to launch your musical journey.


Being in a band/Ensemble requires practice, good listening skills, working well with others, and a love of music. the lessons will be guided and students will have the opportunity to lead songs and learn solos. Whether you have played in a group before or its your first time, this course will have something for everyone to learn. Students should have their own instruments and at least a year of  lessons playing their chosen instrument.

Digital Art for Ages 7+

Welcome to the wonderful world of Procreate! In this beginner course, students will be introduced to the basics of procreate and how to get started in this program!
How to use our digital paint brushes, or coloring pages. Making simple designs. The Procreate software has so many buttons, it’s important to begin by familiarizing ourselves with the basic functions so we can know how to access all features.


Using brushes and getting started drawing:
We will go over adjusting things like size, opacity, shake, line weight, and so much more with brush settings. Learning how to adjust the settings of each tool will allow artists to create with confidence within this program.


Once artists are familiar with the basic functions of the app, they are ready to begin practicing drawings. Using templates or virtual coloring pages we will start to practice using virtual tools to gain artistic capability!


iPads will be provided for use during class. If your student would like to bring their own, they are free to do so!

Jazz Ensemble

This course will cover the beginnings of Jazz Music from the 1920’s swing era. Students will learn how to read lead sheets, play basic chord progressions, and simple melodies over said chord progressions.



We will cover the basics of Swing, playing a variety of songs from the jazz greats such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gilespie, and many more.

Songwriting with Talyana

Calling all aspiring songwriters aged 10+!
Join our 4-month songwriting adventure!
Learn to write catchy hit songs in a small-sized class (5 students max). Explore and discover new genres to help you create new and engaging songs, craft hooks, and verses. Students will be able to showcase their songs live, and record!


Unleash your inner songwriter!
Miss Talyana will help you all along the way teaching you how songs are constructed, how to start the creative process of writing your own lyrics, and help you finish a whole song music and all!

DJ Classes with Kittie

Introduction to Djing. (Beat-Matching)

Intro to Djing (beat-matching) Is a beginner class for anyone who would like to learn the ins and outs of DJing
We will be covering everything from the turn table functions to seamlessly mixing music.


DJing is the art of taking 2 different songs and mixing them together into a whole new creation.
Students will learn how to EQ (Equalize) the different sounds of each song to blend them into one continuous song.
We will also learn about beat juggling, scratching, and producing/remixing.

Choir with Talyana or Cheryl

Natomas Music Sqaure choir! Ages 6+ Will work to build teamwork, confidence, and self-expression through music! Choir is a great class for students not yet ready for one on one lessons and are able to explore singing in a group and learning about harmonies, breath control, vocal warm ups, and get to perform in recitals!

Each session will explore different themes like - Tropical, movie musicals, Disney, and more! Don't miss out on the fun!

Ensemble

We are organizing a one-week ensemble playing experience where kids can come together, make music, and have a blast. Here are the details: Create Music: Kids will have the chance to create their own music together, fostering creativity and teamwork.

DJ 12+ and 18+ Sessions

Each day, we'll have a one-hour DJ session where they can explore the art of mixing and DJing.



This is a fantastic opportunity for your kids to not only develop musical skills but also make new friends and have a lot of fun in a creative and supportive environment.
